Twenty-one years ago, a premature baby girl was found in an alley off Laodong Road in Shanyang, Shanghai.

Her name is Zhao Weishu.

According to the information currently available, Weishu is believed to have been born in 2005. On 17 February 2005, while still a premature infant, she was found in an alley at No. 5 Laodong Road, Shanyang, Shanghai, and was subsequently taken to a welfare institution in the city.

Weishu later went to live with a foster family, where she spent part of her childhood.

In 2014, she was adopted by American parents and travelled across the ocean to begin a new life in the United States. She has lived there ever since, growing up and gradually building a life of her own.

Now, twenty-one years have passed.

The tiny premature baby found all those years ago is an adult, yet the first page of her life still holds questions waiting to be answered.
