but never imagined witnessing these living symbols of culture and ecology in real life?
This summer, we invite you to discover the name you’ve heard countless times—China.
你是否曾在课堂上听过“丝绸之路”，
却不曾知道那是世界上最早的“全球贸易”？
你是否在纪录片里看过熊猫、丹顶鹤、麋鹿，
却从未想过能亲眼见证这些活生生的文化与生态？
这个夏天，我们想带你走近那个你听过无数次的名字——中国。
Why China?
It’s a world far broader than you imagined:
Where millennia of history are etched into mountains and ancient walls, and hidden in a humble bowl of noodles;
Where civilization thrives through poetry and ink, yet evolves through AI and 5G;
Where deer roam freely through forests, and young minds passionately debate “China and the Future.”
But for many young people in the UK,
China is still mostly something seen on screens or read in textbooks.
We want to take you beyond the frame—into reality.

这是一个比你想象中更加辽阔的世界：
有千年历史写在山河与城墙之上，也藏在街头一碗面里；
有文明传承自诗经与水墨，也更新于AI与5G；
有鹿群在林间自由穿行，也有年轻人热血辩论“中国与未来”。

了解中国的方式，大多停留在“屏幕”与“课本”上。

一场有意义、有温度、有行动力的文化之旅
Module 1: Exploring Chinese Civilization
模块一：探索中华文明
Walk through the famed cities of Shanghai and Yancheng, where skyscrapers meet classical gardens;
Discover the living heritage of Chinese civilization through calligraphy, opera, and poetry—not just observing, but participating hands-on;
Boost communication confidence through immersive language learning and bilingual activities;
Join Chinese students in a Global Culture Comparison Class, practicing critical thinking and discovering differences—and similarities.
走进江南名城上海与盐城，在摩天大楼与古典园林间感受传统与现代的交织；
在书法、戏曲、诗词中追寻中华文明的“活态延续”，不只是看文化，而是亲手参与、亲耳倾听；
通过沉浸式语言学习与中英双语交流活动，提升真实语境中的沟通自信；
与中国学生共上一堂“全球文化比较课”，练习批判性思维，理解彼此的不同与相似
Module 2: Nature and Scientific Exploration
模块二：自然生态与科学探索
Feed Milu deer and observe animal behaviors, awakening empathy for the natural world. After feeding and studying the endangered wild milu deer, students will be awarded a Certificate of ‘Contribution to Scientific Research’, jointly issued by the World Natural Heritage Youth Education Base and the Dafeng Milu National Nature Reserve of Jiangsu Province, in recognition of their active participation and contribution to ecological conservation and scientific research.
Encounter rare eastern species like the red-crowned crane in a national reserve, learning ecological science up close;
Conduct field observations at the Yellow Sea Forest Park, taking part in a mini “eco-research project”;
Cruise the Huangpu River by night, feeling the rhythm of a city alive with history and light;
喂食麋鹿、观察物种行为，唤起自然关怀。在喂养和研究濒危野生动物麋鹿后，学生还将获得由世界自然遗产青少年教育基地、江苏省大丰麋鹿国家级自然保护区联合颁发的“科研项目贡献证书”，以表彰他们在生态保护与科研实践中的积极参与与贡献。
走近东方稀有物种——丹顶鹤，在国家级保护区学习生态知识；
在黄海森林公园实地观察，参与一个迷你“生态科研计划”；
夜游黄浦江，在灯火与历史之间感知城市节奏。
Module 3: Cross-Cultural Workshops
模块三：跨文化工作坊
Uncover the mysteries of Chinese intangible heritage, from Huaiju opera to eco-friendly plant dyeing—each stroke, each knot, becomes part of your own cultural story;
In a roundtable titled “Who Will I Become in the Future”, discuss dreams and academic paths with Chinese peers;
Embrace a diverse worldview and build bridges for equal, meaningful dialogue.
It’s not just about understanding “the other,” but discovering a more complete version of yourself.
模块三：跨文化工作坊
揭开中国非遗技艺的神秘面纱，从淮剧、到生态植物染——一笔一划，一线一结，写下属于自己的文化记忆；
在“未来我会成为什么样的人”圆桌上，与中国同龄人共同探讨学术志向与人生方向；
打开多元世界观，搭建平等对话桥梁。
这不只是了解“他者”，而是在发现“更完整的自己”。
Module 4: Future Leadership Academy
模块四：未来领袖成长课堂
Engage in scientific reasoning and exploration experiments, experiencing the logic and creativity of academic inquiry;
Strengthen leadership and teamwork through camp adventures and team challenges;
Compete in a UK-China bilingual debate, expressing your views, listening deeply, and expanding global thinking.
From language, to perspective, to action—build the global competencies needed for future leadership.
模块四：未来领袖成长课堂
在科学推理与探索实验中，体验学术研究的逻辑之美；
通过营地探险与团队挑战磨炼领导力与协作能力；
在中英双语辩论赛中表达立场、聆听不同、拓展全球思维边界。
从语言，到认知，再到行动力，逐步构建未来领袖必备的全球素养。
