A lovely smile — that is often people’s first impression of Han Fulian.
Today, she lives far away in Finland. Yet the earliest clues to her life lead back to a city in Hubei, China — Hanchuan.
According to the information currently available, Han Fulian was born on 2 June 2002.
Just over a month later, on 15 July 2002, she was found outside the welfare institute in Hanchuan, Hubei Province.
She was later adopted to Finland, where she grew up across borders and cultures. More than twenty years have passed, yet many questions about the earliest chapter of her life remain unanswered.
Now, Fulian hopes to find her birth family. Through this video, she also hopes that her story and information can reach more people.
For many adoptees, searching for their birth family is about more than finding a name or a family.
