MBL 2025 Colours of Us Children’s Art Exhibition | A Preview of the Events
Through the eyes of children, the world is always pure and full of colour.
In 2025, The Mothers’ Bridge of Love (MBL) will proudly present the “Colours of Us” Children’s Art Exhibition, in collaboration with the Open House Festival in London. This exhibition is part of MBL’s Culture for Children series.
📅 Dates: 13–21 September 2025 (daily 11:00–17:00)
📍 Venue: St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square (north-east corner), WC2N 4JJ, London
Eighty-five original works created by young people from around the world will be on display, including 33 pieces by children with disabilities. Through their art, these young voices share the joys of life and their dreams, carrying a powerful message of inclusion and hope.
🎉 Event Highlights
🌟 Opening Ceremony
13 September · 🕚 11:00–12:00
The exhibition opens with speeches from MBL representatives, advisors, participating children, and parents. The event will highlight the significance of artworks by children with disabilities, before closing with a group photo and exhibition tour.
🎨 Children’s Art Event
20 September · 🕚 11:00–12:00
Led by world-renowned artist Qu Leilei and British contemporary painter and children’s art educator Caroline Deane, this interactive session invites children to co-create a collective artwork—an inspiring experience of freedom, creativity, and joy.
🏆 Closing & Award Ceremony
20 September · 🕧 12:30–13:00
Our advisors will personally present awards to outstanding young artists. Children and parents will share their reflections, and the event will conclude with a group photo—bringing the exhibition to a warm and celebratory close.

· Qu Leilei – Internationally acclaimed Chinese artist based in the UK; member of the Royal Watercolour Society.
· Beth McKillop – Former Deputy Director of the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A); distinguished cultural scholar.
· Caroline Deane – British contemporary painter, committed to children’s art education.
· Wen Diya – Former CCTV arts interviewer and writer, now based in the UK.
· Celia Mead – Director of the Open House Festival, dedicated to fostering public engagement with the arts.
