Recently, heartening news arrived — with the continued support of Baobei Huijia volunteers, Jiang Yongcheng, a young woman from the Netherlands, has finally found her relatives in Yongxiu County, Jiangxi Province, China.

This has been a journey of searching across borders. From overseas to China, from scattered clues to confirmed connections, the process has relied on the patience, persistence, and quiet dedication of volunteers, as well as a family’s long-held hope for reunion.

The meaning of searching for family lies not only in the moment an answer is found, but also in allowing blood ties and memories to be recognised and reconnected after many years.
