Body & Mind · A Cultural Day in London’s Chinatown | Chinese Heritage Alliance “Body & Mind” Outdoor Cultural Event
In the fast pace of city life, we all long for a moment of calm and balance.
On Saturday, 13 September 2025, the Chinese Heritage Alliance (CHA) will present “Body & Mind” — a full day of outdoor cultural activities in Soho Square Gardens, London. Through dance, tai chi, calligraphy, walking tours of Chinatown and more, the event offers the public both cultural enrichment and a sense of wellbeing.
✨ Event Highlights
· Dance Performances: Presented by the UK Guangxi Chinese Association, including China Aglow, Under the Eternal Moon, and interactive group dances Beautiful Homeland and We Are One Family.
· Tai Chi & Qigong: Demonstrations and interactive sessions of tai chi kung fu fan, sword techniques, and qigong with Jenny Chan & Simon Wong, and Chew-Yeen Lawes.
· Workshops: Hands-on calligraphy and lantern-making workshops running throughout the day — open to all ages.
· Chinatown Walking Tours: Guided tours by the Chinatown Collective (10:30, 11:00, 11:30). Pre-booking required via the Open House Festival website.
· Special Address: At 1:00 pm, the event will be formally opened by the Lord Mayor of Westminster, Paul Dimoldenberg.

About the Organisers
The event is organised by the Chinese Heritage Alliance (CHA) in partnership with the Open House Festival. CHA is an alliance of Chinese heritage organisations and individuals, currently including independent artists, the London Chinese Community Centre, the Chinese Information & Advice Centre, the Chinatown Collective London, and The Meridian Society.
The programme is also supported by the City of Westminster and Westminster Connects.
