Adoption Dialogue Series 6 — Having Adopted: Concerns, Difficulties and Love | Watch the Full Recording

What does it really mean to have adopted a child across cultures, countries, and continents?

What hopes, worries, and questions remain long after the adoption is finalised?

In Series 6 of The Mothers’ Bridge of Love Adoption Dialogue, we focused on the often-overlooked voices of adoptive parents. This event brought together two mothers — Patrizia Brown (Italy/UK) and Nikki Rottenberg (Canada) — who each shared their personal journeys of parenting daughters adopted from China.

With honesty and vulnerability, they spoke about:

·       The emotional complexities of adoptive parenting

·       Moments of uncertainty and unexpected challenges

·       The deep love that has sustained their families through the years

The event was hosted by Siwei, an adoptee from Gansu, China, and a passionate advocate for gender equality and adoptee rights.

This conversation is part of MBL’s ongoing commitment to adoption healing — connecting people through lived experiences and building understanding across perspectives.
