🌿 MBL Adoption Dialogue – Series 11: Lucky, Unlucky, or Somewhere in Between? Birth Families’ Journeys and the Search for Reunion
Behind every adoption story, there may also be a birth family carrying unanswered questions, memories and hope.
On 13 September 2026, The Mothers’ Bridge of Love (MBL) will hold its 11th Adoption Dialogue, focusing on a side of international adoption that is often less heard: the experiences of birth families and the journey of searching for one another.
We are honoured to welcome:
✨ Jen and Xiao Lai – sisters of adoptees who were separated from their younger sisters for 30 years. They will share their families’ experiences, emotions and journeys over those three decades.
✨ Yang Jin – China-based partner of the Nanchang Project and volunteer supporting overseas Chinese adoptees in their searches for birth families. He will introduce practical approaches to searching and reunion.
