    MBL’s 8th Adoption Dialogue brought together writers Barbara Demick and Xinran for a thoughtful conversation on Chinese adoption, writing, and listening. Moving beyond their books Daughters of the Bamboo Grove and Message from an Unknown Chinese Mother, the dialogue explored overlooked complexities in adoption narratives and centred adoptees’ voices. Through respectful exchange and shared reflection, the forum highlighted that healing begins not with easy answers, but with allowing truth, complexity, and care.

  • 2026 Spring Sequence of New Sounds Sino-British AI Audio-Visual Concert First-Round Artist Line-up Officially Announced!

    The core artist line-up for the Spring Sequence of New Sounds Sino-British AI Audio-Visual Concert has been officially announced. Organised by Sino-British Connect, the concert will take place on 6 February 2026 at Westminster Central Hall, London, bringing together leading vocalists, traditional music masters, and Chinese opera ensembles to explore how AI can inspire new dialogues between Eastern and Western artistic traditions.   • The 4th UK English–Chinese Bilingual Recitation Competition: Media Coverage and Reflections from the Judges

    Following the conclusion of the 4th UK English–Chinese Bilingual Recitation Competition, the event received coverage from European Times, its English platform China Minutes, and China Daily, highlighting its role in UK–China cultural exchange and youth bilingual education. Alongside the media attention, judge Xianping Bai shared moving reflections on children’s perseverance, growth, and confidence on stage, reinforcing the competition’s deeper significance as a bridge of language, culture, and connection.

  • The Little Match Girl — A Fairy-Tale Ballet

    A Heart-Warming London Performance | January 2026

    The fairy-tale ballet The Little Match Girl, jointly produced by TG Ballet and Yuhua Chinese School and sponsored by Mothers’ Bridge of Love, will be performed on 10 January 2026 at Greenwood Theatre. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s classic story, the production explores themes of love, compassion and kindness, and will also feature a special performance of Jeux by Claude Debussy and Vaslav Nijinsky. A festive ballet evening for audiences of all ages.
