The 4th UK English-Chinese Bilingual Recitation Competition！

MBL is delighted to announce the launch of the 4th UK English–Chinese Bilingual Recitation Competition, to be held on 30 November 2025 at SOAS University of London. This year’s event especially welcomes non-Chinese students in the UK, offering them a platform to showcase bilingual talent, build confidence, and foster cultural exchange. Organised by MBL and co-hosted with Capital Class UK School, the competition invites schools and teachers to submit student entries by 10 October 2025.

ESEA Book Event 📚 You're Invited: An Evening with Curtis Chin

Join us on Guanghwa Bookshop on 25 September 2025 (18:00–19:00 BST) for a special East and Southeast Asian Heritage Month event. Award-winning filmmaker and writer Curtis Chin will discuss his acclaimed memoir Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant with activist Hsien Chew. Set in 1980s Detroit, the book is both a coming-of-age story and a tribute to community spaces that shape identity and belonging.
