Yu Mingli was born on 17 January 1998.
On 27 April of the same year, she was found in Xixiang Village, Dongbang Town, Changshu, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. When she was found, she was carrying a note with her date of birth, offering one of the very first clues to the beginning of her life.
She was later adopted to Norway, where she grew up in a loving and caring family. Far from the land where she was born, she built a life of her own while growing up in a different culture.
Many years later, Mingli began her journey to search for her birth family.
She says she holds no resentment towards her birth parents.
She is simply curious about them. She wants to meet them, to know who they are, and to understand the earliest chapter of her own life.
For Mingli, searching for family is not about questioning the past or finding someone to blame. It is about bringing greater understanding and connection to the parts of her life story that remain incomplete.
