Under the Same Moon: A Mid-Autumn Message from MBL

A Festival of Light and Reunion

The Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, is one of the most cherished occasions in Chinese culture. On this day, families gather to admire the full moon — a timeless symbol of harmony and reunion — and to share mooncakes, stories, and laughter.

For children, the festival is a moment of wonder: glowing lanterns, round mooncakes, and the joy of being together.

For parents, it is a time of reflection — to hold loved ones close, or to send love across oceans.

And for MBL, the Mid-Autumn Festival reminds us of the bridges we build — between East and West, between generations, and between hearts.

Love That Knows No Borders

Since its founding, The Mothers’ Bridge of Love has been devoted to connecting cultures and helping families understand each other beyond language or geography.

In every project — from children’s art exhibitions to bilingual storytelling — we see the same light that shines from the Mid-Autumn moon: the light of empathy, belonging, and shared humanity.

This festival teaches us that even when families are apart, love remains unbroken.

Like the moon, it waxes and wanes, but it always returns — full and bright.

A Wish beneath the Moon

As you look up at the moon tonight — whether in London, Beijing, New York, or Nairobi — know that someone, somewhere, is looking at that same moon too.

From all of us at MBL, we send our heartfelt wish:

May your home be filled with peace, your heart with joy, and your world with love.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! 🌕
