Remembering with Love on Zhongyuan Festival

Today marks Zhongyuan Festival (中元节), also known as the Ghost Festival. In Chinese tradition, this is a day to honour our ancestors, remember loved ones who have passed, and reflect on the connection between the living and the departed. Families light candles, burn incense, and offer food, symbolising care across generations and worlds.

At MBL, this festival reminds us of the bridges of love that connect us — not only between East and West, parents and children, but also between past and present. Just as we nurture children through art, culture, and education, we also hold space to remember where we came from, and the family ties that continue to guide us.

On this day of remembrance and gratitude, let us cherish the bonds of love that transcend time, and find comfort in the ways we carry our loved ones in heart and spirit.

💌 From our MBL family to yours, we wish you peace, reflection, and love this Zhongyuan Festival.
