Home After Twenty Years: Shen Huabai (Zhang Yunpeng)’s Journey to Reunion | 二十年后回家：沈华柏（张云鹏）的团聚之路
Twenty years ago, Shen Huabai (Zhang Yunpeng) was adopted from Shenyang and taken to Canada. Yet just three months later, he was placed with another family and grew up in foster care.
“Dad” and “Mum” — two words he never had the chance to call out again after the age of three. Throughout his childhood and adolescence, one question quietly remained: Where do I truly belong?
Last May, he reached out to Baobei Huijia and formally began his journey to search for his roots. On 29 December, a DNA match changed his life. It revealed that his biological father had been searching for him since 2014, never giving up hope.
Two long paths of searching, stretching across years and distance, slowly moved towards one another — and finally met.
During a video reunion on 15 January, Yunpeng expressed his longing to his parents in still hesitant Mandarin. In that moment, years of separation and waiting finally found their answer.
Now, he has once again set foot on Chinese soil. With the support of Baobei Huijia and the caring company Xuping Jewellery, he is travelling to Tonghua, Jilin Province, to reunite with the family from whom he has been separated for more than two decades.
On the high-speed train from Beijing to Tonghua, the journey passed through Shenyang — the city where he once lived. As the familiar landscape flashed by outside the window, his emotions were impossible to contain.
This homecoming also carries a promise. In November 2025, when volunteer Gao Yang collected Yunpeng’s blood sample in Canada, he promised that if Yunpeng found his family, he would personally accompany him home. Today, that promise has been fulfilled — Gao Yang is travelling alongside him on this long-awaited return.
Searching for family is not only about reunion; it is about healing across time, borders, and life’s upheavals. As the train heads towards Tonghua, twenty years of waiting are finally drawing to their answer.

如今，他再次踏上中国的土地。在宝贝回家以及爱心企业旭平首饰的支持下，他即将前往吉林通化，与失散二十多年的家人团聚。
从北京开往通化的高铁途中，列车路过沈阳——那个他曾经生活过的地方。窗外掠过的城市景色，让他的激动之情溢于言表。
而这段回家的旅程，还有一份承诺相伴。2025 年 11 月，志愿者高洋在加拿大为云鹏采血时曾说过：如果找到家人，他会把云鹏送回家。今天，他兑现了承诺，陪伴云鹏一起踏上归途。
寻亲，不只是一次重逢，更是一段跨越时间、国界与人生波折的修复。当列车驶向通化，二十年的等待，终于迎来答案。
