Merry Christmas from Beijing!
Our MBL volunteer Valentina Rigoni and some other volunteers, together with a group of Italian people called Veneti di Cina, recently held a Christmas event in Beijing. It gathered about 300 people throughout the day! Drinks and food were served, and there were also activities for kids, and lucky draw. In Valentina’s words: “This was a great opportunity to advertise MBL’s work as we printed out a poster with the organisation info – so more people could know where their donations went. I’m super happy to share that we gathered over 5000 RMB for MBL to sustain its projects. Hope this can help to support many more girls and children in China and further their education. Wish you a very merry Christmas with all your family and a happy New Year 2020. ”
Valentina, and your Veneti di Cina friends, a big thank you to all of you. Your love and support mean the world to us. From the beginning, MBL aims to build up three bridges: a bridge between birth and adoptive culture, a bridge between China and the West, and a bridge between the poor and the rich. For more than ten years, MBL has collaborated with different organizations to provide help and support to children in rural China, and has built more than twenty libraries for children. Our volunteers, such as yourself, are the heart of our team, and the key to our success.
We wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
